Spearheaded by the Odum Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Citizen-Soldier Support Program (CSSP) focuses specifically on the needs of National Guard and other reserve component members and families.

This organization was founded by Service members returning home from WWII with spinal cord injuries, The organization and website provide resources and support for all veterans and people with disabilities, including their families. The are 34 chapters representing all 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico.
 
The mission of this non-profit organization is to raise the awareness and enlist public aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet needs. The directory is dedicated specifically to promoting businesses owned by service-disabled veterans. Almost 6000 veteran-owned small businesses and can be searched by city, state, company name or keyword.
