USU LRC Online Library Web Services User Agreement

Your LRC Online Library Web Services account and password is for your use only. In order to legally comply with our resource provider contracts, all LRC access must be strictly accounted for. Sharing of your account information is forbidden.

Your LRC Online Library Web Services password is subject to protection policies defined by the U.S. Department of Defense - including the length, sophistication and the duration of the password. The optional use of a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) is supported and encouraged.

If you receive your LRC Online Library Web Services account in the role of a USU Alum:

  1. You must surrender your account privileges as soon as you leave the employ of the U.S. military or federal service. Your privileges are generally contingent upon your Email address (ending in .MIL or .GOV) remaining operational.
  2. Some resource providers (such as UpToDate) will limit or restrict alumni access to content.

If you receive your LRC Online Library Web Services account in the role of a Distance Learning program student or the Travel Medicine course trainee, you must surrender your privileges on the end date of the course.  Resource utilization, including Inter-library Loan, must be limited to content related to your Distance Learning coursework.

In the context of printed or physical materials in one of the circulating collections, or obtained through the Interlibrary Loan channels of the James A. Zimble Learning Resource Center, you agree to be financially responsible for any borrowed materials that are lost, damaged or returned late.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. Of these specified conditions, one is that the photocopy/reproduction is NOT TO BE "USED FOR ANY PURPOSES OTHER THAN PRIVATE STUDY, SCHOLARSHIP, OR RESEARCH." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

The James A. Zimble Learning Resource Center reserves the right to refuse to accept any request for content if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

By the act of logging in to any LRC application, I acknowledge the Copyright Warning above and agree to the conditions for receiving ER/LRC user privileges.
