The Academic Writing Center (AWC) aims to foster a community of confident and skilled writers at the graduate and postgraduate levels. Through a variety of services, the AWC empowers writers to:
Enhance their writing skills: We offer individual and group sessions, along with instructional materials, to help students develop and refine their scientific and academic writing.
Navigate writing resources: We provide resources and guidance to help students access and utilize writing and publishing tools available at USU, partner institutions, and online platforms.
Pursue credit-bearing writing courses: We can develop credit-granting writing courses upon request by schools or colleges.
Navigate the publication process: Faculty and students can receive guidance on publishing options, opportunities, and best practices to avoid copyright infringement and plagiarism.
Support dissertation, thesis, and DNP projects: We offer feedback and resources to assist students with their dissertation, thesis, and DNP project writing.
Ensure proper archiving: We can help students route completed theses, dissertations, and projects to the University Archives for proper preservation.
