The Academic Writing Specialist pilot was proposed with the following objectives:
- Deliver instructional materials and sessions (individual or group) that develop and improve student scientific/academic writing skills to a level appropriate for graduate and postgraduate studies.
- Synchronize and provide direction to writing and publishing resources hosted at USU, partner institutions, and offered online.
- Develop credit-granting writing courses if requested by schools or colleges.
- Advise faculty and students on publishing options, opportunities, and avoiding copyright infringement/plagiarism.
- Technical assistance for students writing dissertations, theses, or DNP projects.
- Help route completed theses, dissertations, and projects to the University Archives.
